If there is a request to manage conflicts of interest related to individual research plans, such as research with human subjects or research project plan applying for Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, reviewing of research plan is conducted for each Faculty so that specialists for each particular research field could participate in its review. COI Committee or Research Ethics Committee at each Faculty or the University of Tsukuba Hospital undertakes such reviews.

The Clinical Trials Act(Act No.16 of April 14, 2017) was enforced on April 1, 2018. If you will conduct the clinical trials based on this act, it is necessary to carry out conflict of interest management in accordance with the “The Guidance for Conflict of Interest Management in the Clinical Trials Act”. In this case, you should contact university’s Clinical Research Support Center.
